Combining Opal's self-patterning sock yarn and the solid colours of Socks Yeah 4ply, this tall cowl is a simple knit using circular needles. It's a great first 'in-the-round' project.
The self-patterning part uses 50g, or half a ball, of a Opal 4ply sock yarn. The solid colour, with simple to work polka dot holes, is one 50g hank of Socks Yeah 4ply.
It's an incredibly versatile pattern.
- Knit the whole cowl using the self-patterning sock yarn.
- Knit the whole cowl using a solid colour of Socks Yeah 4ply
- Knit a shorter cowl
- Stripe it!
I like the cowl tall, so that I can fold it in half. You can either have a flash of colour on the inside...
Or have the block colour on the outside...
We have a large collection of Opal shades in stock and, combined with over 20 shades in Socks Yeah 4ply, there are lots of colour combos you can try!
