Quick Knit Sweater

This Quick Knit Sweater is from a Wendy pattern 6169. It's knitted in Wendy Husky a machine washable super chunky acrylic yarn.

A large boxy shape, 6169 has minimal shaping and a drop sleeve. The only tricky thing, for a beginner, would be using mattress stitch to sew it up. And there's plenty of help for that (in the shop and on YouTube!)

So... This would make a excellent first garment project for a beginner. You just need to be able to:-

• cast on and cast off
• knit and purl
• decrease (knit 2 stitches together)
• follow the (simple) pattern

As a super chunky yarn, Husky will knit up quickly. We have four colours of Husky in the shop and online. And  you can see a range of patterns here.

You could also try the Wendy With Wool Super Chunky too. Just check your tension!
