You are buying a kit not a finished item.

This fun kit includes 15 x 10g balls of Wee County Yarns Miniballs and a printed Clare Hutchinson knitting pattern for a tube cowl (approx. 84cm x 17cm) all packaged in a cake box.

You need to add a 3.25mm circular needle 40cm long (or how ever you knit a small circumference). See our circular knitting needles here.

The cowl is worked by repeating one motif - you pick the colours for each repeat creating a unique accessory and sampler of colour combos.

Each kit has a range of shades from lights to darks allowing you to experiment with subtle to bold colour combos. Clare provides ideas and tips on how to combine colours but you're free to experiment however you like.

These 4ply miniballs are spun in Scotland by JC Rennie. They are 100% wool (Lambswool & Shetland) and are wound straight from the cone. To help your project look it's best please wash it twice when you are finished knitting. This will allow the stitches to bloom and soften. Each kit includes detailed washing instructions.

This kit is great for beginner and experienced colourworkers. Not only can you try out different colour combos and learn what you like but you can try out different ways to do stranded colourwork - one handed or two handed? How about experimenting with colour dominance, you could even mix it up with some simple stripes.

You don't need to knit the cowl. These miniballs are a perfect stash addition for whenever you need small amounts of colour.

We have 6 shade combos available, each hand picked by Clare. Sometimes colours will vary slightly from those shown.

The sample is knitted in the Knitty colourway.

Remember you also need a 3.25mm circular needle 40cm long (or how ever you knit a small circumference).
