Before now KnitPro didn't make interchangeables thinner than 3mm, with this new range you can combine different length needle tips (5cm, 10cm and 13cm) with different length cables to make your perfect set of extra fine circular needles with smooth needle-to-cable transitions.

The cables have a durable stainless-steel core and have a smooth nylon coating for flexible, uninterrupted knitting performance. These are non swivel cables.
The cables are sold in packs of two and you also get 4 square-shaped end caps and 2 cable keys. The end caps keep your knitting secure on the cable if you remove the needles. The cable keys help you tighten the needle tips and cable together.
Cable lengths come in a range of lengths from 13cm to 76cm.
The total length of the circular needle will be 2 x needle length + cable length.
To make the following popular lengths you need:
a set of 5cm needle tips + 13cm cable to make approx. 23cm long circular needle, ideal for socks.
a set of 10cm needle tips + 20cm cable to make 40cm long circular needle, ideal for hats and narrow cowls.
A set of 13cm needle tips + 35cm OR 56cm cable to make roughly 60cm OR 80cm circular needle for 'in the round' garments and small shawls.
A set of 13cm needle tips + 76cm cable to make roughly 100cm circular needle for 'in the round' garments and larger shawls.
These cables are only compatible with Petite needle tips and Petite needle tips are only compatible with Petite cables. They will not fit any of the standard KnitPro range.
You can use any Petite tip on any Petite cable length but please consider how much needle there is compared to the cable length. For example, standard length needle tip (13cm) will be too long to use on a 13 or 20cm cable - there will be too much needle and not enough cable to make a 'circle'.
