Each year, we have trunk shows at the shop.
For one day, a visiting hand dyer fills the Pittenweem shop with their range of hand dyed yarns. Crowds descend on Pittenweem to marvel at it, squish it, and buy it!
With the added bonus of meeting the makers.
In the past we've had Lilith from Old Maiden Aunt, Leona from Rusty Ferret and Sunshine from My Mama Knits.
In fact, Sunshine was due to visit this August. Unfortunately, like many other things, we've had to postpone her visit due to Covid-19.
But have no fear!
Sunshine has sent a box of beautiful yarns, including her super popular Choufunga 4ply sock yarn (£17.50/100g) and a range of hand dyed fluffy laceweights (£18/50g) in co-ordinating shades and lots of stitch markers!
Since the shop is currently open by appointment, the My Mama Knits hand dyed yarn collection will be the shop for about 6 weeks (or until it sells out!), so lots of time to book an appointment and come and see the yarn in person.
Sadly you won't get to meet Sunshine and see her fabulous range of hand knit shawls but the yarn will not disappoint!
