Elspeth is a simple round necked cardigan knitted in West Yorkshire Spinners Croft Tweed, an aran weight yarn.
Croft is 100% machine washable Shetland wool. Available in a tweed effect or solid colour. We used shade 762 Clousta a beautiful subtle mauve splashed yarn. See our full range here!
It has a lovely drape and feels much softer when knitted than it does on the hank.
Elspeth is part of a pattern book from West Yorkshire Spinners. It’s knitted flat, then sewn together. It has simple shaping and would make a good beginner garment project. Using the Tweed effect Croft will also help conceal any wobbly stitches!
