Playground Shawl

Playground Shawl by WollWerk, available to buy on Ravelry here
Our Playground Shawl uses Zauber Flower - a gradient yarn from Schoppel Wolle.
Playground is knitted in different directions and uses short rows which force the yarn to stripe in different ways - creating a stunning effect.
It's a relatively simple knit and the instructions are very clear (including a diagram showing each 'section').
It's also a versatile shape to wear!

Any 4ply will work with this pattern and you could use separate colours to create your own combos.
The Zauber Flower is an easy option though.
You need about 530m of yarn and the Zauber Flower comes in 150g/600m cakes with a full colour repeat in each cake so you can just knit without worrying about the colours. And there's a great range of shades available, from the rainbow shade 1505 shown here to muted shades of blue and black/brown.
The pattern is designed by WollWerk and is available to buy on Ravelry here
You can find our Zauber Flower collection here.
And you'll also need a 4mm circular needle!

You can use Zauber Flower in other 4ply patterns, a simple wide rectangle scarf would show off the yarn beautifully or how about a simple top down triangle shawl for a stunning wrap? There's 150g of yarn... so this is perfect for larger sized accessories and garments (you'll get a wider stripe as there is a long run of each colour).
Playground has been part of our monthly Work In Progress series. You can read more here.
