Heart Warmer Cowl
Heart Warmer is a tall one loop cowl and has 6 different stitch patterns, making it an interesting project to knit and also to wear.
The pattern includes a bit of lace, cables, ribbing, bobbles and smocking.
Each section is quite small so you don't get bored or stuck with a stitch pattern you don't like!
I knitted our shop version using Erika Knight Wool Local. A light and airy 4ply blend of Bluefaced Leicester and Masham sheep.
If you enjoyed the 3 Colour Cowl you might enjoy Heart Warmer too - the stitch patterns are more complex and it's all in one colour but it's has a similar stitch sampler effect.
Any 4ply will work with this pattern but watch out for meterage.
The pattern specifies no less than 400m to complete the cowl. If you used one hank of Vivacious 4ply (with only 365m on a hank) you should probably reduce the sections or maybe miss one out.
As an aside the Vivacious would make a lovely cowl. As a high twist merino the stitch definition would be very crisp!
